Tesla FSD Beta 11.3 Video Series

Here is a complete list of all of my drive videos that I have recorded with FSD Beta 11.3.x:

Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.3 – Donut Torture Test

This video contains footage from a route I came up with this morning on the way to getting some delicious donuts from my favorite bakery, Heights Bakery (drool). Aside from one disengagement (that was my mistake), the drive went pretty well. I encountered no new issues or regressions and confidence especially as it pertains to vehicle control remains consistent with what I’ve experienced with 11.3.1 & 11.3.2.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.3 – Minnesota First Drive

Early this morning both of my Model 3s received the Tesla OS 2022.45.12 update which included FSD Beta v11.3.3. This video contains footage from my first shake down drive around NE Minneapolis & Columbia Heights. So far, I have not uncovered any new bugs / show stoppers / regressions so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that 11.3.3 is indeed the build that goes wide!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.2 – North Metro Test Loop

This video contains footage recorded on March 21st, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.2 driving me from my home (NE Minneapolis) to my parents’ house (Coon Rapids, MN). Minus the continued struggles with lane selection at the intersection of 37th Ave NE & Central Ave NE this continues to be a fairly easy route for FSD Beta especially with v11.3.2. Once the aforementioned issue is fixed I could see v11 being easily able to handle this drive with 0 disengagements from me!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.2 – St. Paul to Home

This video contains footage recorded on the evening of March 20th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.2 driving me from my gym in St. Paul to my house in NE Minneapolis. After 8+ drives with FSD Beta 11.3.2, I have yet to notice any major regressions (from 11.3.1) and the behavior overall seems very similar to what I experienced with 11.3.1. The intersection of 7th Street W and 5th Street W in Downtown St. Paul continues to cause issues for FSD Beta so I’ll continue to report this behavior to the Tesla Autopilot team. Towards the end of the video, we also encountered another disengagement where FSD was unable to navigate around a parked car after yielding for oncoming traffic. Regardless of these disengagements, I continue to feel that Tesla has made several significant steps forward with FSD Beta 11.3.x and am hopeful these remaining issues will get addressed in future 11.x builds.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.2 – Roundabout Torture Test

This video contains footage recorded on the afternoon of March 20th, 2023 where I put FSD Beta 11.3.2 through a roundabout torture test that we previously tried w/ 10.69.25.2. The pair of roundabouts are located adjacent to a busy Walmart in Roseville, MN and I decided to test during the late afternoon (on a Monday) to ensure other vehicle & VRU traffic would be present. During the torture test, I traverse the pair of roundabouts a total of 7 times, 4 times from west to east and 3 times east to west. I considered the each test attempt a pass if FSD was able to traverse the pair of roundabouts without any driver intervention.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.2 – St Paul Brunch

This video contains footage recorded on the afternoon of March 19th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.2 driving me through St. Paul to an awesome brunch joint called Colossal! While a few minor issues were encountered along the way, FSD did a great job recovering from them except for one where the system appeared to experience a fault & require me to take over. For the most part FSD Beta v11.3.2 continues to build on the increased confidence many testers (including myself) experienced with v11.3.1 which is a really positive sign. Stay tuned for more FSD Beta 11.3.2 content over the next few days!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.2 – Minnesota First Impressions

Early this morning both of my Model 3s received the Tesla OS 2022.45.11 update which included FSD Beta v11.3.2. This video contains footage from my first drive from NE Minneapolis to Northwest St. Paul, MN. Throughout this drive I give my initial impressions of 11.3.2 and compare them to what I previously experienced with 11.3.1.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Best Drive Yet! (Zero Disengagements)

This video contains footage recorded on the morning of March 14th, 2023 where FSD Beta 11.3.1 drives me from Columbia Heights, MN all the way to my company’s office in Edina, MN. I would argue that this is the best drive I’ve experienced with FSD Beta to date, especially considering it:

– Successfully navigated an unprotected right turn
– Completed two consecutive lane changes within a narrow window
– Executing a tough U-turn

What’s even more impressive is that it did all of this within the first five minutes of the drive! On top of improved handling of city streets, handling of highways has significantly improved, far surpassing what we were used to with Navigate on Autopilot. These improvement will undoubtedly lead to a much more enjoyable experience for FSD Beta users going forward. I am pumped for v11.3.2 and look forward to more testers getting the opportunity to test v11 for themselves real soon!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – West Metro Torture Test (Zero Disengagements)

This video contains footage recorded on the afternoon of March 14th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.1 driving me through a tough route that connects Edina, MN to Eden Prairie, MN. During this drive, FSD Beta v11.3.1 showcases its enhanced ability to quickly recover from lane selection confusion as well as displaying a newfound confidence in handling roundabouts. In over two years of testing FSD Beta, I have never seen it tackle roundabouts as confidently as it did in this video. The fact that I never had to apply a throttle input even once highlights the significant improvement in roundabout handling with v11. Kudos to the Tesla Autopilot team for their hard work with this excellent build!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Columbia Heights Lane Selection Test

This video contains footage recorded on the afternoon of March 13th, 2023 where I put FSD Beta 11.3.1 through a lane selection test that we previously tried w/ 10.69.25.2. 10.69.25.2 recently passed this test by selecting the correct lane after turning onto Central Ave NE however I had a suspicion it was due to the tall snow banks. In this test the snow banks are still there however they are much smaller and so I feel like this is a much more telling test than the one I did with 10.69.25.2. If you are interested in seeing how FSD beta used to select the wrong lane, see this video which was recorded using 10.69.3: https://youtu.be/XxHTPdereIs.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Drive Home From Brunch

This video contains footage recorded on the afternoon of March 12th, 2023, of FSD Beta 11.3.1 driving me home from my favorite brunch spot in South Minneapolis. Despite the light snowfall, this was yet another zero disengagement drive, with only one throttle intervention. Along the way, I point out several other long-standing issues that have been addressed by FSD Beta 11.3.1!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Edina Drive (Snow)

This video contains footage recorded on the morning of March 9th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.1 driving me around Edina during the start of a snow storm. While a few throttle inputs were required along the way, this is my first zero disengagement drive with FDS Beta 11.3.1. Considering how heavy the snow was coming down, I think the results here are pretty impressive. Also, before somebody says the maneuver at 1:56 is illegal, see here: https://www.startribune.com/fixit-driver-is-it-stop-or-go-at-a-yellow-light/16517431/?refresh=true.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Work Test Loop

This video contains footage recorded on the morning of March 9th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.1 driving me from my home (NE Minneapolis) to my company’s office (Edina, MN). While my experience w/ v11.3.1 has been mostly positive so far, I continue to experience disengagements when traversing the intersection of 37th Ave NE & Central Ave NE. This has been a regression I first noticed with 10.69.25.x and something that was completely fixed as of 10.69.3. I previously did this same drive with 10.69.25.2 (see here: https://youtu.be/jg45yO-PG7Y) so you can can directly compare legacy Navigate on Autopilot to the new single stack FSD Beta solution for highway.
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – St. Paul to Home

This video contains footage recorded on the evening of March 8th, 2023 of FSD Beta 11.3.1 driving me from my gym in St. Paul to my house in NE Minneapolis. Along the way we experience a few regressions and plenty of long awaited improvements! I did a similar drive through downtown St. Paul so you can get an idea of how far things have come with FSD Beta v11.3.1 (see here: https://youtu.be/8DcQKnhhMfU).
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – Shakopee to Work

This drive includes footage from my second drive with FSD Beta v11.3.1 where it takes me from Shakopee, MN to my company’s office in Edina, MN. Aside from one disengagement due to a manual lane change taking too long, the highway portions continue to demonstrate v11’s strengths especially when it comes to making smooth inputs (brake, throttle, or steering). The city portions continue to be very similar to 10.69.25.2 where I find FSD Beta still being too hesitant, especially at clear intersections. Overall, I feel v11 is a big step forward for Tesla with the move to single stack and am excited to see what they have in store for the subsequent minor releases!
Tesla – FSD Beta 11.3.1 – First Drive In Minnesota!

Early this morning both of my Model 3s received the Tesla OS 2022.45.10 update which included FSD Beta v11.3.1. This video contains footage from my first drive from NE Minneapolis to Shakopee, MN which equates to about 28 miles along with plenty of highway driving. As a reference, please feel free to compare this drive against one I did of the same route last year with FSD Beta 10.10.2: https://youtu.be/37_H6ZsJtUk
